All and all we were pretty happy with this new West African, specifically Cote d'Ivoire/Ivory Coast dishes. Lamb chops were tender and flavorful. I particularly liked the two different homemade sauces that came with this meat (one mayo based and another one spicy). We really liked the fried plantains Alloco that were caramelized, pretty different from the plantains I’ve had from the Latin American cuisines. Also, the bon bon juice (hibiscusmint) was refreshing. The restaurant is still 6 months since opening so they are still updating some interior arrangements but the restaurant owner/chef/server was so kind and likable. I really wish more people will try this place. They do catering too so with their beef and chicken skewers, rice and salad I can really see how these meals can be enjoyed by large groups.

I just discovered this place by doing a Google search despite driving by it frequently and not seeing it. What I tried was amazing, and I'm looking forward to trying something new next time. I had the plantains and rice (just as side dishes) for lunch. The sweet sauce for the plantains was phenomenal, as was the hot sauce that also had a great but different flavor. It is pretty hot, though once your mouth is used to it, it's not so bad (but yeah, the sweet sauce is my preference). I don't know what to say about the rice, other than it tasted incredibly healthy with fresh ingredients, but still with that tangy tomato flavor. Highly recommended!

Le Bon Bon Grill is a fantastic spot for authentic African cuisine! The food is rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented—I especially loved the jollof rice, alloco and the tilapia. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious African food and a great dining experience, this place is a must-visit!

The food, the vibe, the friendly staff, the service, everything is amazing! Cote d'Ivoire food. The alloco goes so well together with their fried rice. Eat the two together in one bite! Their Bon Bon Juice is so good as well! The hibiscus, pineapple, and mint balanced so well together. It was perfect. We ordered the sampler to try everything. I really like the lamb chops and chicken, but really, EVERYTHING is excellent. This place is a gem!

Came here on a whim cuz I wanna try somewhere new. Trying this African restaraunt is an experience you don't want to miss! The atmosphere of the restaraunt may look a bit iffy when you come in but you know the food will be good if the place is not perfect. The chef was really nice and gave me a bottle of water with my meal. I recommend getting the lambchops with fried rice. It's on the pricier side but it's really good!

This place is pretty close to the post office in Lisle. Parking is ample. It wasn’t busy when we came. The owners were very welcoming and pleasant when we walked in. There are about 5 tables. You order your food, then sit down and eat if dining in, and pay afterwards. We ordered the sampler (bon bon juice comes with it) and the plantains. The owner has to prepare the food for you, so please be patient. The food is worth the wait. I wished I had a gallon of that bon bon juice because it is that good. It’s made of herbal hibiscus juice with pineapple and fresh mint. I should have asked for a refill before heading out. The sampler consists of 1 beef brochette, 1 chicken brochette, 1 lamb chop, 5 or 6 chicken wings, rice, and salad. The plantains were separated equally on our boards. All of the meat was tender and juicy but my favorite would be the lamb chop. I’ll have to get that next time. Portions were very generous. The yellow sauce in the middle is spicy. The other two were mild but the red one had a tangy taste. Prices were fair because you’re not going to get another West African restaurant in the general area.

I had the Beef Brochette and fries to go. Ate half before I made it to the hotel. The beef was flavorful and tender. Fries were crispy. The service was friendly. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

Wow, this is a treasure of a find! The people are absolutely lovely, and the food is delicious. My friend and I had the chicken wrap, and I had the plantains (which I had promised to share but largely failed to share ) and the salad. And oh my goodness! Be SURE to have the Bon Bon Juice. That was dangerously delightful. Can't wait to go back when I am the area!
